Aston’s Stealth microphone wins NAMM TEC Award

Aston’s winning streak continues. After winning best microphone in MusicTech’s ‘Gear of the Year’ awards, Aston’s Stealth microphone also bagged the win in ‘Best Microphone – Sound Reinforcement’ in the NAMM Show 35th annual Technical Excellence and Creative Awards (TEC Awards). This was Aston’s 3rd NAMM awards nomination, an excellent result seeing as the company was formed recently back in 2015 and the Stealth is only the 4th microphone in the range.

Aston Mics are indeed waving the flag for UK design and manufacturing as the Stealth was the only UK-build product nominated. Something acknowledged by NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) as they stated: “Aston Microphones has already proved that not only can a British team design some of the best microphones in the world, but they can build them in the UK and make them affordable for everyone too.”

The super-versatile Stealth has been one of the industry’s tremendous success stories from its launch last year. With active and passive modes, built-in Class-A preamp, phantom power auto-detect and 4x discrete signal paths that provide a choice of voices (4x incredible mics in 1). The Stealth has already found its way into the studios and stages for the world’s top professionals. Producers, engineers, musicians, voiceover artist, broadcasters, podcasters, gamers and more are all discovering this ground-breaking microphone that sounds a million dollars but only costs just £299.
