Studiospares Lockdown Podcast Ep 004 – Elton John, Peex and can we perform to people in cars?

The Studiospares Lockdown Podcast is aimed at talking to musicians, producers, voiceover artists, venues, agents (and more) about the current lockdown, how has it effected them and their business and asks the question of what happens post-lockdown.

Our fourth guest is Pete Mills, a long-time technician for the one and only Elton John, plus a handful of other significant artists in the music industry. He is the founder and owner of Send Hill Studios and also one of the founders of Peex. an innovative system that lets the individual gig-goer to control mix elements of a live concert.

In this episode, Pete takes Dave through the history of Send Hill Studios, his incredible 35-year long career as a technician, and how Peex came to be and what it can offer to the live music industry.

Pete also talks Dave through what he has been up to during lockdown. The devastating effect COVID-19 has had on the live music industry for performers, artists, technicians and Peex. And what the live music industry can do to adapt once lockdown is eased and is performing to gig-goers in cars the new way forward?
